Older Than Evil

Finally it's here.

Oh, damn! Finally it's here.

This book has been a story in itself.

Firstly I signed too early with ORP who had published my first 4 books. I was still editing and wasn't satisfied. I just felt something wasn't quite right but couldn't work out what it was.

Then it suddenly dawned on me. The book that was supposed to be the final book in the trilogy would be much better as 2 books. I knew exactly where it needed to be split. So the book I was writing was suddenly book 3 of a tetralogy.

Then ORP went broke, and I lost my money, never to be recovered.

Ouch! A lot of damn money for me.

I chose a new, smaller publisher and discovered it was being run by someone who had once worked at ORP. And the small company was overrun by other authors who had been with ORP.

Anyway, now the new book needed some rewriting to fit the rearrangement. A third of what I'd already written was put aside for book 4, and I worked on the rest, finally getting it to a stage where I was happy.

Just some more editing.

I finally submitted it to Clark & Mackay.

Then, bugger me, I discovered a couple of things wrong. Simple things that didn't affect the book itself, but were wrong in the overall context. There had been so many changes and time wasted that I'd mixed up a couple of details.

More rewriting.

I decided another small detail probably needed to be added. Not greatly important but it just added that little something.

Finished.

A little more delay while everything was formatted.

Then, at last, the paperback is finally available on Amazon. The eBook should be available shortly.

Thanks so much to Donika Mishineva for the cover which she had ready so many months before. If fact the cover for book 4 is basically completed with just a few changes to be made.
